Quest: Volume I is a question‑and‑answer game that presents 2,520 general‑knowledge questions across six categories: World, Arts & Entertainment, Society, Science & Technology, Sports & Leisure, and Varieties. Players take turns on a board, but before each question they must wager how many points they want to move forward if they answer correctly. This bet adds tension, because the winner of the round moves ahead while the loser may stay put or even lose points. The question topics are chosen by the player who will answer, allowing each player to play in the subjects they know best. However, mid‑game opponents can pick different themes, so it’s important to have a broad knowledge base. The goal is to reach the end of the track before the others, but strategy goes beyond simple answers: you have to decide when to bet high, when to risk losing, and when to bluff to mislead opponents. The race mechanic makes the game fast, as each round moves players several spaces. The board contains 20 advancement spaces, each representing a victory point. Players start at the initial position and, upon a correct answer, move forward the number of spaces equal to the wager. If they answer incorrectly, they stay in place or move back if the bet was too high. The game ends when someone reaches the final space, or when the question deck runs out, resulting in a tiebreaker based on accumulated points. A typical match lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the number of players and the speed of responses. Grow, the Brazilian publisher, has released other editions, but this Volume 1 was the first to establish the trivia‑with‑betting concept. The fun comes from combining knowledge, strategy, and a dash of bluff, creating moments where a player can turn the game with a bold wager. For those who enjoy fast trivia, quick question challenges, and light strategic play, Quest: Volume I offers an engaging and fun experience.
