What you do in a play session

Rapidough is a party game that blends real‑time excitement with the creativity of shaping dough. Up to four (or more, if you want to stretch it) teams receive colored balls of modeling clay and, each round, all players look at the same word card. The cards vary: sometimes there is a single neutral word that everyone must convey; other times three neutral words give free choice; and in the most chaotic version, three colored words force each player to model the word matching their dough color. Each participant places their ball on a plastic mat that marks the starting hand positions and simultaneously begins sculpting the clue. The first team to shout the correct word wins a chunk of the opponent’s dough using an extraction tool, and can also reclaim previously lost dough. If a team calls a word of a different color that is still being modeled, they lose automatically. When a team runs out of dough, the game ends and the team with the most dough left wins. The frantic pace, the need to quickly recognize what a teammate is shaping, and the competition for dough resources generate laughs and tension in equal measure. Perfect for parties, family gatherings, or groups of kids, Rapidough requires little rule‑reading but plenty of coordination and attention, making the 1994 classic still a blast today.
