About the game
What you do in a play session
Get your heart (and your ammo) ready, because the Spencer Mansion has just opened its doors on your table! Resident Evil: The Board Game is a cooperative survival horror experience that brings the tension of the 2002 remake directly to the tabletop. Forget isolated sessions; we're talking about an epic campaign that can span over 27 hours, where every decision—like whether to spend or save a bullet—can change your group's fate.
The exploration mechanic is a major highlight: the map isn't pre-set. You'll build the mansion as you go, revealing new hallways, useful items, and, of course, plenty of hungry monsters. The game evolves alongside you; as the campaign progresses, the danger level rises, and tension cards can alter enemy behavior mid-turn, making everything much more unpredictable.
The combat and survival system is strategic and brutal. You'll constantly have to decide if it's worth fighting a zombie or if it's better to run for your life. With die icon resolution and grid movement, the game maintains a frantic pace while carrying the weight of a true survival game. If you love intense cooperative games with resource management and a heavy atmosphere of suspense, this is the one for you. And if you're short on time, don't worry: missions can also be played as 60-90 minute one-shots. But watch out: in the mansion, danger never sleeps!
