Get ready to dive into the unknown! In 'Revive: Call of the Abyss', glacial meltwater reveals giant lakes inhabited by the Scyphoz, mysterious creatures possessing ancestral wisdom. To evolve your civilization, you must settle near these lakes and earn their devotion, unlocking powerful Scyphoz cards that can shift the tide of the game. The expansion shakes up the gameplay by introducing 'journeys'—missions where you send your citizens to gain more devotion points by utilizing the switch action.
The real highlight here is the four new tribes, each featuring advanced boards and completely distinct playstyles. The KAIROS alternate between day and night modes, requiring precise timing to maximize their abilities. The GIB'WARKS are gadget masters, optimizing the switch action and gaining tactical flexibility. Meanwhile, the OSTARIUS focus on erecting massive gates that can block paths on the map, controlling territory and hindering opponents. Finally, the CORDYCEPHIANS play parasitically, leeching cards, buildings, and technologies from other players, forcing you to adapt your strategy based on your opponents.
Regarding components, the box delivers 16 Scyphoz cards, 18 journey cards, 3 lakes, devotion tracks, 15 machine tokens, 9 slot modules, and 9 new citizen cards. Almost all content is compatible with solo play (except for the Cordycephians tribe), ensuring that solo players can also explore the abyss. It's the perfect addition for those who have mastered the base game and crave more layers of complexity and asymmetry.

Is it solo compatible?
Almost everything! All content is solo-compatible, except for the Cordycephians tribe.
What do the new tribes bring to the table?
Each has unique abilities: from day/night cycling to building gates that block the map.
Does the playtime increase significantly?
Estimated time is 90-120 minutes, similar to the base game, though complexity might slow down decisions initially.
