About the game
Hey everyone! Get ready for an epic journey in Revive, where humanity tries to rise again 5000 years after everything turned to dust. Your mission? Lead a tribe, explore a frozen Earth full of mysteries, and of course, harness every resource you can get your hands on. You'll recruit survivors, build factories with super-powerful machines, and uncover forgotten technologies in ancient sites. It's a civilization game for 1 to 4 players, featuring asymmetric player powers for each tribe, a highly variable setup that changes every game, and best of all, zero direct conflict – here the struggle is against the environment, not each other! The game also boasts a 5-part campaign that unlocks new content, and once everything is revealed, replayability is infinite. At the start, each player gets a set of citizen cards, a tribe board with their unique abilities and ancient technologies, and a massive dual-layer player board to slot in their custom machines and upgrade their card slots. The main goal is to reach and populate these large ancient sites, which are crucial sources of victory points and randomize each game, shaping your strategy. The game ends when all artifacts have been taken, and the player with the most points wins. On your turn, you take two actions: play a card (its effect determined by which card slot you use), explore (reveal an area tile and recruit a new citizen card), populate (activate an ancient location to learn a new technology), or build a factory (advance on machine tracks based on adjacent terrains).
