About the game
Recall is a deep strategy game that blends engine building, exploration, and a dash of archaeology. Each match starts with 14 distinct tribes and 18 unique gadgets, and your initial pick already shapes most of your strategy. On your turn you have two choices: play a keycard to activate an action box – which can populate lands, move followers, explore new regions, or erect workshops, vaults and monuments – or "Recall", which produces resources and returns your keycards to your hand. This creates an action‑retrieval loop that keeps play fluid and decision‑heavy.

Throughout the game you can improve your tribe by acquiring new keycards, upgrading action boxes, or gathering ability stones and relics. Archaeological dig sites are pivotal: excavating them unlocks abilities and gadgets of ancient civilizations and opens valuable scoring chances. Three times during the game a fork appears; the chosen path grants an immediate bonus and boosts one of the end‑game scoring categories, forcing a balance between short‑ and long‑term goals.

The modular board and map‑addition mechanics ensure each playthrough feels fresh, while tech trees let you customize your production engine. An optional digital companion lets you archive your tribe at game’s end, turning it into an ancient civilization discoverable by other players. With a 90‑minute playtime, a 3.7/5 weight and support for 1‑4 players, Recall offers a rich, strategic experience that will please both civilization fans and lovers of exploration and engine building.
