Our Verdict
RECOMMENDED

Ritual is perfect for players who love cooperation with a twist of subtle betrayal. The thrill comes from non-verbal communication and time pressure - you must read others' intentions just through rune actions. The game shines in its twists: will everyone unite in the same brilliant mistake? Just don't expect a relaxed experience - here, even silence is tension.

About the game

What you do in a play session

Ritual is a real-time cooperative game for 2-6 players who take on the roles of minions to ancient deities trying to break evil seals across three timed rounds. Communication is limited - you can only express yourself through actions, like giving or taking runes (colored stones) from other players. Everyone has secret personal goals to fulfill, but must also work together to complete the final public ritual. The tension comes from needing to coordinate actions without speaking as the clock ticks down. If someone breaks the pact and acts selfishly, they might score personal points but risk dooming the group. And here's the twist: if everyone unites to do something completely different from the planned ritual, they might surprise the deities and win together! It's a game that blends deduction, memory, and quick decision-making under pressure, perfect for fans of cooperative challenges with a dash of controlled chaos.

The 3 timed rounds total 15-25 min, perfect for multiple plays in one night.

Nope! The game is self-contained, just needs a timer (phone works).
Are the stones real gems?
They're colored plastic components, quite durable and pleasant to handle.
