About the game

What you do in a play session

Rune Age: Oath and Anvil expands the base game with two fresh playable races that change the way you approach the expansion: the dwarves of Dunwarr, masters of mining, and the orcs of the Broken Plains, warriors who think of nothing but combat. While the dwarves quickly accumulate gold and convert it into devastating attacks, the orcs prefer an "all‑or‑nothing" path, drawing every ounce of power from each empty hand. But the novelty doesn’t stop there: the four original factions also receive reinforcements—from novice wizards and massive Roc fighters to swift Leonx riders and forest guardians—each adding a different strategic flavor. And the dark side? Vampires, barrow wyrms, blood sisters, and obscenes join Waiqar’s evil cause, showing that even malevolence can be well‑armed. The expansion introduces new scenarios that test your deck‑building talent, along with mercenary cards that open even more tactical possibilities. If you already master Rune Age fundamentals, get ready to dive into more epic battles, with varied units and deeper strategies. The goal remains the same: control the arena, accumulate resources, and defeat the opponent, but now with more choices and more excitement. Whether you’re a veteran or a newcomer, Oath and Anvil promises hours of fun, cooperative challenges, and a gameplay experience that will make your table even more vibrant and full of stories to tell.
