Get your standard deck of cards ready for a pocket-sized, time-efficient solo experience! Sandcastle Solitaire is a quick and charming little game where you take on the role of a sandcastle builder. The goal is to erect the most robust structure possible to withstand the relentless force of the high tide. Each turn, you decide how much 'sand' (cards) you'll gather, from 1 to 7, and then you must use all of them to strengthen your castle. Construction is strategic: the first card goes to any valid column, but subsequent ones must be placed in columns adjacent to the last played card. It's a challenge of risk management and planning, where each card played can be the difference between a sturdy castle and one that crumbles. After building, the tide comes in, and you discard half the cards played (rounded up), simulating the force of the waves. It's a perfect pastime for those moments of downtime, requiring very little time and no extra components beyond a simple deck of cards. Ideal for those who enjoy card-based puzzles and want a quick, rewarding challenge.
