About the game
What you do in a play session
It's the busiest time of the year at the North Pole! With only days left until Santa embarks on his annual gift-giving journey, the reward for the most dedicated elves is a vacation with him to a warm, sunny place. In Santa's Workshop, your goal is to lead your team of elves to claim this well-deserved reward. But don't think it'll be easy: there are many toys to build, reindeer to tend, and even coal to mine (yes, not every child was nice!). By working smartly and diligently, you and your elves might just find yourselves relaxing on a beach, drink in hand. This is a worker-placement game for 2 to 5 players, unfolding over nine rounds. You'll use your elves to gather materials, build gifts, and care for the reindeer. You can train your elves in different aspects, granting permanent benefits. To speed up production, you can substitute standard materials like fabric, wood, or metal with plastic, though this results in fewer 'Christmas Cookies'. Santa will conduct three inspections throughout the game to see which team has built the most gifts. Managing your time in the mailroom to choose gifts and tending to the reindeer is crucial, as untended reindeer accumulate points, and each of the eight offers a unique bonus. Get ready for a busy and strategic Christmas!
