About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for a battle of wits in Scandaroon, a card game that will make you think outside the box (and inside it!). With games for 3 or 4 players, each of the four rounds is a new chance to show who's boss with the cards. Each round, you receive a brand-new hand, and the objective is clear: assemble your row of cards with the highest possible score, while subtly trying to sabotage your opponents' plans and lower their points. It's a delicate balance between building your empire and undermining others!
The game features a scoreboard to track points, wooden markers for each player, and a special deck of cards. Each card has its scoring value, a suit, and, most interestingly, an effect or ability that can drastically alter the values of other cards. Certain achievements during the game are worth bonus points, and the value of these points can even change as the game progresses, adding an extra layer of strategy and unpredictability. Scandaroon is the kind of game that challenges you to think about patterns, anticipate others' moves, and adapt your strategy to each new hand. If you enjoy card games with a touch of abstract strategy and a bit of subtle 'take that,' Scandaroon might be just the ticket for your table.
