About the game
Get ready for the Tournament of the 12 Seasons, where the greatest sorcerers of the kingdom of Xidit gather to decide who will be the next archmage! Seasons is a tactical card and dice game that unfolds in two distinct phases, where your strategy is shaped from the very beginning. In the first phase, the 'Prelude', you'll participate in a super important card draft. Your goal here is to assemble a nine-card deck that will be the backbone of your strategy for the rest of the game. Think carefully, as these cards will define your powers, your familiars, and your magical items. After choosing your nine precious cards, you divide them into three packs of three. You start the second phase with the first pack, and as the game progresses, the other two packs are revealed, adding layers of planning and adaptation.

The second phase, the 'Tournament', is where the real magic happens! At the beginning of each round, a player rolls special season dice (one more die than the number of players). These dice are the key to your actions: increasing your hand limit for cards in play, collecting elemental energies (water, earth, fire, air) to cast your powerful cards, crystallizing energy to obtain crystals (which are both resources and victory points!), or drawing more cards. Each player chooses only one die per turn, and the die that no one chooses determines the advancement of time on the board. Keep an eye out, as the dice change with each season, offering different energies and bonuses. The conversion rate of energy to crystals also varies, so adapting to seasonal changes is crucial. In the end, whoever has the most crystals and victory points from cards (minus penalties) is crowned the new archmage!
