About the game

What you do in a play session

If you enjoy the classic Sequence but crave a bit more excitement or want something faster to play with friends, Sequence Dice is the perfect fit. Forget the cards from the traditional version; here, luck and dice strategy take the lead. The goal remains the same: be the first to align five tokens on the board. The twist is that instead of playing a card to mark a spot, you roll two dice. Each number on the board corresponds to a possible dice result. The board is a 6x6 grid, so you need to keep a close eye on where your tokens land.

The game gets extra spice with some special rolls. Did you roll a 2 or a 12? Congratulations, you get an extra turn to try and mark another spot. Rolled a 10? It's time for some mischief: you can remove an opponent's token, which is essential for blocking someone close to winning. And the 11? That's the wild card, allowing you to place your token anywhere on the board, which can be a game-changer in a tight spot.

It is an extremely light game, perfect for playing with family or friends who don't want to spend hours learning complex rules. With matches lasting about 20 minutes, it's the ideal "filler" to start or end a game night. Interaction is constant, as you will always be watching what other players are doing to block their lines. It is simple, straightforward, and a lot of fun, keeping the "connecting dots" essence of the original but with the unpredictability that only dice can provide. If you like fast-paced games with a bit of "take-that" and lots of laughs, Sequence Dice will find a permanent spot on your table. It is easy to teach, quick to set up, and ensures no one gets bored waiting for their turn.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you buy

6 questions
Is the game difficult to learn?
Not at all! It's one of the simplest games you'll find. If you can roll dice and count to 12, you're ready to play.
Is it suitable for children?
Definitely. The recommended age is 7 and up, and since it doesn't require complex reading, it's great for getting kids involved.
How long does a game last?
It's quite fast! On average, games last about 20 minutes, which is perfect for when you want to play something but don't have much time.
Do I need the original Sequence to play?
No, Sequence Dice is a standalone game. It uses the sequence concept, but the components and rules are unique to this version.
How many people can play?
The game works well with 2 to 4 players. It's especially fun with 4 people, given the competition for board space.
Is there much strategy or is it just luck?
It's a mix. The dice luck dictates what you can do, but strategy comes in when deciding which spot to mark or which opponent's token to remove.
