In 'Showrunner', you step into the shoes of a TV executive producer, tasked with climbing the ratings charts and hooking as many viewers as possible each week. But don't think it'll be easy: competition is fierce, and you'll need plenty of cunning to keep your audience loyal and always wanting more. Do you have what it takes to create a show that dominates primetime? Each game begins by choosing your show, a formidable rival, and a timeslot, which sets the difficulty. Each turn, you draw five cards and distribute your loyal viewers between the Premier, Season, and Finale episodes. Then, a rival program card is revealed, establishing your competitor's audience and the actions you'll face. Use the cards in your hand to activate powerful effects or to amplify other actions. Dissuade rival viewers with a strong Premier, boost your ratings during the Season, and expand your viewership for next season with a compelling Finale. Win the ratings war against three different rival shows and turn your show into a timeless classic, one that people quote for years to come!
