In 15th‑century Italy, city‑states buzzed with intrigue, art and ambition. In *Signorie*, each player becomes a Signore, the head of a noble family vying for political dominance during the Renaissance. At the start of every round, twenty dice in five colors are rolled. Players, in turn, pick a die from the common pool, place it on their personal city board and perform the action indicated by the die's colour. The die's face value acts as a discount on the action cost, so a six saves more money but also pushes the total of your dice higher. Each round allows up to four actions per player. At round's end, if the sum of a player's chosen dice is 13 or less, they earn a reward – a bonus that can swing the game. This simple roll‑and‑pick mechanic creates a constant dilemma: use a high‑value die to ease expensive actions or keep the total low to secure the reward. The game blends worker placement (the dice themselves) with set collection, as many actions require gathering specific resources. Each player's board represents their city, where they build structures, hire merchants and amass wealth. Variable city set‑up and a 2‑4 player range give solid replayability, while a BGG weight of 3.5 signals rules that are easy to grasp yet strategically deep enough for seasoned gamers. In short, *Signorie* delivers a resource‑management and decision‑making experience that captures the power struggles of Renaissance Italy, all built around an innovative and approachable dice mechanic.
