RECOMMENDED

If you love the base game’s mix of deduction and bluffing, this mini expansion cranks it up with high-stakes treasures and an extra curse. Finding matching card pairs to pinpoint locations turns every round into a detective mini-game, while the 36-point treasures (and chaos) keep everyone on edge. The shared treasure splits maintain that ‘coopetition’ vibe.

About the game

What you do in a play session

The Spectral mini expansion adds an extra layer of mystery and risk to the base game. It replaces one random card per row during setup, with each special card hinting at a row or column where a treasure or curse might hide. Here's the twist: you’ll need to find matching pairs of cards to pinpoint the exact location — the intersection of the revealed row and column marks the spot. These treasures are way more valuable (36 points each!), but they also introduce an extra curse, cranking up the chaos. At game end, new treasures are split evenly among surrounding players, just like in the base game. Ideal for players craving more tension, deduction, and a dash of horror!

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you buy

5 questions
Do I need the base game?
Yes, this expansion only works with the original Spectral — it adds special cards but isn’t standalone.
What’s the best player count?
It keeps the base game’s range (2-5), but gets more chaotic and fun with 4+ players.
Does it add much playtime?
Just 10-15 extra minutes since setup is quick and the new rules are straightforward.
Is it good for horror fans?
The theme is more eerie than scary, but the extra curse adds a nice sense of urgency.
Are the new cards hard to learn?
Nope — if you know the base game, just match the row/column hints to find pairs.
