About the game
Sprawlopolis: Beaches is a tiny four‑card expansion that adds a splash of sun and sea to the base game. Whenever you draw a beach card, the rule is simple: play it immediately. Each beach creates a new border that cannot be crossed by other cards—imagine the sand extending beyond the card’s edge. Throughout the game you decide which three of the four sides (north, south, east, west) will define your city’s perimeter. Inside those boundaries you keep placing the pieces you already know, but now you must contend with the new space restriction and the extra scoring that beaches can provide. The idea is to keep the pace quick—just 15 to 20 minutes—and still explore area‑majority and influence strategies, as the majority of territory earns points. The game retains the cooperative feel of the original, but with an extra challenge to optimize each move. If you love building cities, enjoy tile placement with adjacency rules, and want something light that fits a chat interval, Sprawlopolis: Beaches is the perfect pick.
