About the game

What you do in a play session

Sprawlopolis: Roadwork is the latest expansion for the beloved Sprawlopolis, released in 2023. The goal remains to build a functional city, but now the spotlight is on easing chaotic traffic. Each player receives one of four exclusive road‑work cards; if a card isn’t played before the game ends, it costs points. The challenge lies in seamlessly fitting the new road into the existing network – something rarely as easy as it sounds. The game keeps its quick 15‑20 minute playtime, supports 1‑4 players, and has a light weight (1/5), perfect for short sessions or warm‑ups. Closed Drafting, Layering, and Tile Placement mechanics stay, now used to integrate the new streets into the map. The cooperative mode lets the group work together to avoid congestion, while the solo mode offers an individual challenge. Want more difficulty? Deal out extra road‑work cards to the group, making integration tougher. All components are Print & Play, so just print, cut, and you’re ready. In short, the expansion adds a fresh urban problem (traffic) and a fun solution, while preserving the simplicity that made the base game a hit.
