In Spyrium, you're thrown into an alternate steampunk England, where the goal is to become rich and powerful by producing and processing the mysterious 'Spyrium'. Think about building your factories, hiring workers, and managing the production of this exotic commodity. Whoever manages to turn raw Spyrium into victory points (VPs) comes out on top. But beware, this isn't free! Spyrium is rare and expensive, so money will be a constant squeeze. The trick is to increase your income or your base of permanent workers from the start. This ensures flexibility to grab those key end-game buildings that are worth gold (or VPs!). The game has a nice cycle: you decide when to move from the worker placement phase to activating your constructions and generating resources or money. You can use workers to raise cash, buy new cards, or boost idle factories. All of this is important, but in the end, whoever best manages the scarcity of money, labor, and Spyrium itself will emerge victorious. It's a game that demands planning and good management of your limited resources, with a dash of economic strategy and worker placement in a very peculiar setting.
