About the game
Alright, ready to build the dinosaur park of your dreams (and maybe a few nightmares)? In Dinosaur World, science has brought dinosaurs back, and humanity, naturally, decided the best course of action is to build theme parks with them! Demand is sky-high, and new parks pop up all the time, even if they're not 100% ready. But, as any good dinosaur park entrepreneur knows, where there's excitement, there's also a certain risk. So, make sure every visitor signs that waiver before venturing into the wonders of your Dinosaur World!

Each round, the dynamic unfolds as follows: first, you recruit new workers via resume cards. Then, you spend these workers on public actions to expand your park and collect DNA – after all, more DNA means more dinos! Next, you use more workers on private actions to improve your park's facilities. And the coolest part? You hop in your jeep and take a tour to experience the thrill and grandeur of what you've built.

Throughout the game, you'll accumulate victory points in various ways. And yes, it's possible that some visitors might have some rather... *intense* encounters with the dinosaurs, resulting in a few fatalities. But hey, who cares about a few incidents when fun is guaranteed, right? In the end, if you accumulate too many deaths, you lose points, but the main goal is to have the highest score to be the most successful dinosaur magnate!

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the ideal player count for Dinosaur World?
Dinosaur World shines brightest with 3 or 4 players, as the competition for action spaces and the interaction in park building become more intense and fun. With 2 players, it's still good, but the board feels a bit more 'open'.
How complex is the game? Is it easy to learn?
It's considered a medium-to-heavy weight game (3.27/5 on BGG). It's not the easiest to learn for complete beginners, but if you have experience with worker placement and tile placement games, you'll pick it up faster. The rules are detailed, but gameplay flows well after a few rounds.
How long does a game of Dinosaur World usually last?
A game typically takes 60 to 120 minutes, depending on the number of players and familiarity with the rules. With 4 players and everyone carefully planning their moves, it can extend a bit longer.
Does the game involve a lot of luck?
Yes, there's an element of luck in dice rolling for some actions and in the meeples you recruit. However, the worker placement and park building strategy is what truly defines the winner, so luck is mitigated by your decisions.
What are the main components of the game?
The game comes with a lot of cool stuff! It has custom meeples (dinomeeples!), dice with icons, many park tiles to assemble, resume cards, individual player boards, and various tokens. It's a very robust and thematic production.
Is Dinosaur World a family-friendly game?
Despite the fun theme, the complexity and duration might be a bit much for very young children or families not used to more strategic games. It's more suitable for teenagers and adults who already enjoy more elaborate board games.
Do I need to have played Dinosaur Island to understand Dinosaur World?
Not at all! Dinosaur World is a standalone game. While it shares the same thematic universe and some ideas with Dinosaur Island, it has its own mechanics and does not require prior knowledge of the previous game to be played or enjoyed.
