About the game
What you do in a play session
The Hound’s Tooth Expansion Pack brings the infamous YV‑666 light freighter, once piloted by the dreaded Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk, into X‑Wing Miniatures Game. The large‑base miniature, scaled 1/270, arrives with four YV‑666 ship cards, a brand‑new mission and thirteen upgrades that expand tactical choices. The star feature is the Hound’s Tooth Title, which lets your pilot survive a fatal blow by escaping aboard the Nashtah Pup, a unique Z‑95 Headhunter. The pack also includes the Nashtah Pup ship card and deployment rules, but you’ll need the miniature from the Most Wanted or Z‑95 Headhunter expansion to actually fly it. Gameplay stays true to X‑Wing’s core: action queue, dice rolling, point‑to‑point movement, simultaneous action selection and variable player powers, all wrapped in quick 20‑plus minute duels perfect for two players. The new upgrades deepen the Scum and Villainy faction, giving more customization and space‑combat strategies. With a BGG weight of 3.66/5 and an 8.0 rating on Ludopedia, the pack satisfies both seasoned pilots and newcomers, though it does require the base game and an extra miniature for the Nashtah Pup. In short, it’s a visual and tactical boost that enriches the star‑fighter experience in a galaxy far, far away.
