Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
Do I need the base Star Wars: X-Wing game to use this expansion?
Absolutely! This is an expansion pack, so you need to own the Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game base set to use the TIE Interceptor and its components.
How many players can play with this expansion?
The base X-Wing game is for 2 players, and this expansion maintains that setup. You'll be using the TIE Interceptor in one-on-one dogfights.
Does the game's complexity increase significantly with this expansion?
The overall complexity of the base game remains similar. The expansion adds a ship with new abilities and pilots, which broadens tactical options but doesn't drastically alter the core rules.
What exactly comes in the box?
You'll receive a detailed TIE Interceptor miniature, upgrade cards, pilot tokens (including Soontir Fel and five others), and the necessary game markers.
Is it difficult to adapt the cards to Portuguese?
The language dependency is moderate. Pilot and upgrade cards often have text that can be translated with a reference sheet or a localized version, but the core gameplay is quite visual.
Is this expansion good for someone just starting X-Wing?
If you're starting with the Imperial side, the TIE Interceptor is an iconic and powerful addition. It might be slightly more complex than the starter ships, but it's a great way to explore more advanced tactics.
