About the game
What you do in a play session
It's time to meet the Vanguards, the human faction led by the young and powerful Sera Eldwyn in Summoner Wars! This crew believes in the strength of unity and protecting the weak, using healing and defensive magic to hold the line on the battlefield. Sera, at just 16 years old, is already a born general, with eyes that reflect the hardness of someone who's seen it all, yet still carries the innocence of a prodigy.
This faction deck brings everything you need to step into the Vanguards' shoes: 35 cards, including Sera herself as the Summoner, the mighty Archangel, and other champions like Kalon Lightbringer and Raechel Loveguard. To round out the team, you'll have Guardian Knights, Stalwart Archers, and Priests, ready to defend your territory. And for that special touch, there are event cards like Holy Judgment, Divine Strength, and Summoning Surge, plus Wall cards to bolster your defenses.
Remember that this is a faction deck, so you'll need a Summoner Wars Starter Set to play. The experience is one of tactical combat on a grid-based board, where hand management and dice rolling will set the pace of battle. Prepare to summon creatures, cast spells, and defend your allies tooth and nail. It's a great choice for those who enjoy fantasy, strategy, and a good card duel!
