About the game
What you do in a play session
Super Fantasy Brawl: Hot Trick arrives as the first expansion for the celebrated Super Fantasy Brawl, injecting a dose of trickery and surprise blows into the hex‑grid battlefield. The core duel remains tactical miniatures combat, but now each player gains new asymmetric heroes, "Hot Trick" cards and abilities that can flip the game in an instant. Jacques Le Beau, the dueling musketeer Jack of Hearts, fuels his cards with cores for extra punch, yet he can also dish out raw damage – don’t let his looks fool you. Nikkit, the Sly, is actually three mischievous goblins; they’re slow and heavy but can jump and wield unique powers that turn the tide. Lil’y, the legendary thief, brings daggers that appear out of nowhere, forcing opponents to stay on edge.
Hand Management becomes even more critical: timing a Hot Trick can be more devastating than a straight attack. The hexagonal board preserves classic Area Movement, letting miniatures shift in six directions and claim strategic zones. Each hero enjoys Variable Player Powers, guaranteeing asymmetric play and high replay value. New components include detailed miniatures, trick cards, energy tokens and a refreshed hex map.
Games run 30‑45 minutes for 2‑4 players, making the expansion perfect for groups already fond of the base game or those seeking a fast, twist‑filled duel. The learning curve stays friendly, but strategic depth rises sharply, especially for players who love combo planning and shocking the opponent with unexpected tricks. In short, Hot Trick adds more chaos, more tactics, and plenty of fun for anyone who enjoys a good fantasy showdown.
