Step by step

Game Objective

In Super, all players compete against each other using 8 types of tests that exercise different brain functions. The goal is to be the first to collect 4 brain pieces and complete your brain puzzle to win the game.

Setup

  1. Place the 10 textured cards on the table.
  2. Players have 30 seconds to examine and touch the textured cards.
  3. Separate the textured cards and set them aside.
  4. Shuffle the Test Cards and Challenge Cards.
  5. Place the deck face-down in the center of the table. The type of test that will appear when a card is flipped is shown on the back.

Game Flow

The game progresses in rounds, with the youngest player starting first.

Game Start

The youngest player begins by flipping the top card of the deck.

During a Round

When a player thinks they know the answer to the test on the flipped card, they must immediately place their hand on the card. They give their answer, and the card is revealed to check if it's correct. Remember: a player can only answer once per round.

Correct Answer

The player takes the card and places it face-down in front of them. A player can have a maximum of 4 cards. If they already have 4 cards and win another, they must discard one of their cards to keep the newly won one. When a player collects 2 cards of the same category (same back), they can exchange them for a brain piece.

Wrong Answer

If the answer is wrong, the player must discard the card and cannot answer in the next round.

Two-Player Note

In a two-player game, if one player gives a wrong answer, the card is not discarded but given to the other player. The game then continues normally.

Actions and How to Play

Players interact with the tests on the cards to collect cards and eventually brain pieces.

Test Types

There are 8 types of tests, each with a different dynamic:

  • 1 - Race: Comparing 3 simultaneous photos, determine which boat is in first place.
  • 2 - Path: Starting from the figure in the green corner, how many moves are needed to reach the object in the red corner? Movement can only be in a straight line, and you can only change direction to a figure or color identical to the previous one.
  • 3 - Impossible: What color is the object that cannot exist in three dimensions?
  • 4 - Proportion: Which shape has the largest dark portion relative to the whole?
  • 5 - 3D: Among the 4 objects in the corners, which one is identical to the object in the center?
  • 6 - Squares: How many squares can be found on this card?
  • 7 - Code: What is the code found by following the order of symbols indicated by the arrow?
  • 8 - Tactile Challenge: This card allows the player who won the previous card to take the Tactile Challenge. Other players select a card from the pile of 10 textured cards and hand it face-down to the challenger. They have 10 seconds to recognize the texture using only touch. There is only one correct answer.

Special Rules for the Tactile Challenge

  • If a player answered the previous card incorrectly before a Challenge Card, they cannot take the challenge and must reshuffle it into the deck.
  • If two Tactile Challenge Cards appear in a row, the second one must be reshuffled into the deck.
  • If the Tactile Challenge answer is correct, the player earns another brain piece.
  • If the Tactile Challenge answer is wrong, the game continues normally, moving to the next card in the central deck.

End of Game and Scoring

End Trigger

The game ends when a player completes their brain puzzle.

Winning Condition

The first player to complete their brain puzzle wins the game.

Scoring

Scoring is based on collecting brain pieces. A player earns a brain piece by exchanging 2 cards of the same category (same back). In the Tactile Challenge, a correct answer directly grants a brain piece.

Tips to Win

  • Pay attention to the 8 types of tests and practice recognizing answers quickly.
  • Manage your cards: remember you can only hold up to 4 cards. If you win a fifth, you must discard one to keep the new one. Prioritize collecting 2 cards of the same category to earn brain pieces.
  • For the Tactile Challenge, use the initial 30-second setup time to memorize the 10 textured cards, as a correct answer here grants a brain piece directly.
