About the game
What you do in a play session
Teotihuacan: City of Gods – Decoration Tiles is the expansion that brings three new decorative tiles to the already vibrant Teotihuacan game. Each tile features a special decoration symbol that, when matched with the generic icon on the board, unlocks extra scoring and temple advancement. The concept is simple: when covering a generic icon, you earn 1 victory point and, optionally, can move one of your workers to any temple of your choice, amplifying your building strategy. The expansion comes in two versions: the first, on cardboard, arrived as a promotion in the Sierra West box; the second, in wood, includes wooden tiles that replace the cardboard ones from the base game, keeping the same mechanics. In 2020, the expansion was released as part of the Promo Bundle, offering a complete set of pieces for those who want to expand the experience. The set is lightweight, fits easily into the expansion compartment of the base game, and requires no additional components beyond those already present in the original Teotihuacan. If you enjoy collecting tiles and want an extra splash of variety without complicating the flow, this expansion is a sure bet. Moreover, players who already own the base can immediately enjoy it, as the mechanics fit perfectly into the existing rules. In short, the expansion adds more color, more points, and a touch more strategy for fans of Teotihuacan.
