About the game
If you've already mastered the art of turning Mars into a habitable paradise, it's time to expand your horizons—literally. Utopia & Cimmeria isn't just a minor rule tweak; it's the addition of two entirely new game boards that shift the positioning dynamics and strategy of every session. On one side, we have Utopia Planitia, taking us to the northern lava plains, and on the other, Terra Cimmeria, focusing on the rugged southern highlands.

What does this change in practice? Quite a lot! Each map brings its own placement bonuses, new ocean zones, and, most importantly, new milestones and awards. This means the way you fight for territory and plan your final scoring will vary drastically depending on where you land. While one map might be a battle for space in open plains, the other's geography might force you to be more strategic with your tile placement to avoid getting boxed in.

For those who already love the base game, this expansion is essential because it breaks the monotony of the standard map. It injects an extra dose of variability, forcing players to adapt their corporations and project cards to the terrain. You can't simply repeat the same winning strategy; the map now dictates the pace of colonization. It's the perfect tool for those who feel they've 'beaten' the base game and want new geographical challenges to test their resource management and area control in fresh scenarios.
