About the game

What you do in a play session

In 'The Aquicorn Cove Board Game', you and your friends dive into an exciting story inspired by Katie O'Neill's graphic novel. The plot begins when Lana and her father return to their seaside hometown to help clear the debris from a big storm. Lana rediscovers her love for the ocean and the comforting presence of her aunt. During her beach explorations, she makes a magical discovery: a colony of aquicorns, enchanting seahorse-like creatures that live in the coral reefs. Lana rescues an injured aquicorn and, with the help of her aunt – who seems to know more about these strange creatures than she lets on – cares for it. However, a new storm approaches, bringing to light old decisions about the village's relationship with the sea. Lana realizes she will need to find her own strength, even if it means challenging those she has always relied on. In this cooperative game for 2 to 4 players, you take on the roles of members of a small fishing village. The goal is to balance the community's survival with environmental preservation. To win, you must feed and develop the village while restoring the health of the reef and the aquatic ecosystem. Fortune favors the villagers, as the cove's waters are home to the benevolent aquicorns and the reef guardian, Aure, who can help them understand humanity's environmental impact and save the village.
