About the game

What you do in a play session

You know that scenario you've already mastered and now feels too easy? That's where Celebrimbor's Secret comes in. This Nightmare Deck acts as a 'hard mode' for those who want to feel the true pressure of Middle-earth. Instead of creating a brand new game, it transforms familiar scenarios into deadly nightmares by replacing standard encounter cards with versions that are far more dangerous and treacherous.

The core of the experience is tension. You and your companions are in a desperate race through the ruins of Ost-in-Edhil to locate Celebrimbor's abandoned ring mould. However, you aren't the only ones searching. The agent Bellach and his Orcs are hunting for the same prize. The twist is that if you hesitate to explore locations, the enemies will do it for you. But unlike your progress, Orc exploration causes damage to the locations. Once a location is destroyed, it moves to 'The Orcs' Search' pile, causing your threat level to spike much more sharply at the end of every round.

It's essentially a game of urgency. You can no longer afford to meticulously plan every move; either you act quickly, or the Dark Lord gains ground and the game ends before you even find what you're looking for. It's the perfect adrenaline shot for LCG veterans who feel their heroes have become too powerful for standard challenges. Ready your deck, coordinate with your partner, and try to survive this nightmare!
