About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for a ghostly hunt in Scotland with The Phantom Society! In this game, you can play as a mischievous ghost trying to wreak havoc in a manor or as a determined ectoplasm hunter aiming to capture these apparitions. The goal is straightforward: ghosts need to cause £45,000 in damage, while hunters try to stop them before they succeed.

The board is a map of a manor divided into 36 rooms, each with a monetary value representing potential damage. Ghosts hide beneath rooms corresponding to their type and begin destroying adjacent rooms to increase the damage. The twist? The hunters themselves, while trying to figure out where the spirits are, also end up destroying rooms and contributing to the total damage! It's a game of cat and mouse where deduction is key.

Hunters must think strategically about which rooms to remove to identify hiding spots, while ghosts use cunning and psychology to mislead their pursuers. It's a race against time and logic, where every move can lead to capture or the manor's ruin. With quick games and plenty of tension, The Phantom Society is ideal for those who enjoy deduction games with a strategic edge and a fun, slightly spooky theme. Can you unravel the manor's mysteries before it's too late?
