About the game

What you do in a play session

The Shores of Tripoli takes you back to 1801, when the US, tired of seeing its ships plundered by Barbary Coast pirates, decides to act. As President Thomas Jefferson, you command a naval squadron to pressure Tripoli to stop piracy—or face the consequences. As the bashaw of Tripoli, your goal is to keep the lucrative plundering business going while countering the American threat. The game blends strategy, cards featuring historical events, and dynamic dice-based combat. With wooden pieces, a premium map, and mechanics like hand management and variable powers, each game is a history lesson disguised as fun. Perfect for fans of accessible wargames or those looking for a tense two-player experience full of tough decisions.
