About the game
What you do in a play session
Get your potions and swords ready, because the Wild Hunt has arrived to transform the experience of The Witcher: Path of Destiny! This expansion doesn't just bring new stories; it completely shifts the gameplay dynamics, focusing on prediction and cross-plotting to capture that genuine feeling of anxiety and pursuit. The highlight is the semi-cooperative mode: while one player takes on the role of the fearsome Eredin, commanding the Wild Hunt Generals, the other players unite to guide Ciri and her companions. It's an epic 'one versus many' clash.
Controlling the Wild Hunt is a unique experience. Eredin isn't just another character; he possesses exclusive mechanics. By playing specific colored cards, the Wild Hunt player moves their Generals (Eredin, Nithral, Caranthir, and Imlerith) along a track, gaining experience, victory points, and—most dangerously—access to Ability cards that can disrupt the opponents' plans. On the other side, the heroes must cooperate intensely, scoring victory points collectively to prevent Ciri's abduction and playing cards to weaken the Generals, pushing them back on the track and gaining Weakness cards to turn the tide.
Prefer the solitude of the Continent's paths? The expansion also includes a robust solo mode. You can take the role of Ciri or one of her companions to face the Wild Hunt, which is now governed by an Automa. To support this, the game provides a special Hunt board and bonus cards that replace the Weakness cards, ensuring the challenge remains intense even without other players. Additionally, brand new Side Quests have been added for both the Wild Hunt and the cooperative players, expanding the narrative possibilities. With detailed miniatures of the Generals and a new playmat, the scale of the Aen Elle threat becomes tangible on your table.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
Do I need the base game to play?
Yes! This is an expansion, so you'll need the The Witcher: Path of Destiny base game to use this content.
How does the solo mode work?
You play as Ciri or an ally against the Wild Hunt, which is controlled by an Automa system, using a dedicated board and specific cards.
Does the Eredin player play differently from others?
Absolutely. Eredin has exclusive mechanics for moving Generals and Ability cards to hinder the heroes, creating a completely different experience.
What's in the box in terms of components?
You get a new playmat, 4 General miniatures (Eredin, Nithral, Caranthir, and Imlerith), and various new ability, weakness, and quest cards.
Is it a cooperative game?
It's semi-cooperative. The heroes cooperate with each other to win, but they are fighting against the player controlling the Wild Hunt.
