Game Objective
Welcome to Alan R. Moon's Ticket to Ride - USA 1910! In this game, players are building railway routes. The overall objective is to complete Tickets and connect cities to score points. The Anniversary Edition includes Tickets from the most popular Ticket to Ride expansions: USA 1910, which can fundamentally alter strategies and tactics.
Preparation (Setup)
The Ticket to Ride Anniversary Edition offers four ways to play: Classic, USA 1910, Big Cities, and Mega Game. Preparation varies slightly depending on the chosen version:
- CLASSIC TICKET TO RIDE (WITHOUT THE USA 1910 EXPANSION):
- Remove all "USA 1910" and "Mystery Train" Tickets (optional*) before the start of the game.
- Keep only the 30 (*34) "Classic" Tickets (marked with a red border).
- Use the "Longest Route" Bonus card.
- TICKET TO RIDE USA 1910:
- Use only the 35 (*39) "USA 1910" Tickets (marked with a green border) and "Mystery Train" (optional*) instead of the "Classic" Tickets.
- Use the "Globetrotter" Bonus card.
- TICKET TO RIDE BIG CITIES:
- Use only the 35 "Big Cities" Tickets (cities on the tickets printed in blue). The Big Cities are Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and Seattle.
- At the start of the game, shuffle the "Big Cities" Tickets and deal 4 to each player. Each player must keep at least 2 Tickets (or more, if they feel confident!).
- Do not use Bonus cards in this version.
- TICKET TO RIDE MEGA GAME:
- Shuffle all 69 Tickets (including Classic, USA 1910, and Mystery Train).
- Deal 5 Tickets to each player. Each player must keep at least 3 Tickets (even all 5 if they dare!).
- The "Longest Route" and "Globetrotter" Bonus cards are available to all players.

End of Game and Scoring
The game ends and scoring is calculated in different ways depending on the version:
- TICKET TO RIDE USA 1910:
- At the end of the game, the player who has completed the most Tickets receives the "Globetrotter" Bonus card and adds 15 points to their score.
- In case of a tie, all tied players score this bonus.
- TICKET TO RIDE CLASSIC:
- Uses the "Longest Route" Bonus card. (The manual does not specify how it scores, only that it is used).
- TICKET TO RIDE BIG CITIES:
- Does not use Bonus cards in this version. (The manual does not specify other scoring criteria for this version).
- TICKET TO RIDE MEGA GAME:
- The "Longest Route" and "Globetrotter" Bonus cards are available to all players. (The manual does not specify how they score, only that they are available).
Tips for Winning
- The addition of the USA 1910 Tickets can fundamentally alter your strategies and tactics, so be open to new approaches.
- In the Big Cities version, when drawing Tickets, you draw 4 and must keep at least 1. Discarded Tickets always go back to the bottom of the draw pile, which can influence your decisions about which Tickets to keep.
- In the Mega Game, you start with 5 Tickets and must keep at least 3. During the game, when drawing Tickets, you draw 4 and keep at least 1. Managing these Tickets and deciding how many to keep are crucial.
