About the game

What you do in a play session

Travel Clue delivers the classic Detective experience in an ultra‑compact package, perfect for slipping into a backpack or carry‑on. The goal remains unchanged: identify who killed Mr. Boddy, with which weapon, and in which room. The game uses 21 square tiles – nine blue rooms, six yellow suspects, and six red weapons – placed on a 3 × 3 board. One tile of each colour is set aside as the secret solution, and the rest are dealt, two per room. Each player gets a detective sheet to mark possibilities and, on their turn, looks at the two tiles in a room and asks another player a question like “Did you see the wrench?” or “Has anyone seen Professor Plum?”. Answers help eliminate combos until someone can correctly name suspect, weapon, and location. The mechanics blend hand management (handling the clues you hold), paper‑and‑pencil (noting hypotheses), and roll/spin movement (determining which room to investigate). Games are quick – about 10‑15 minutes – and support 2‑6 players, making it versatile for small gatherings or larger travel groups. While the rules are streamlined, logical deduction and a dash of bluffing are still required to outwit opponents. Fans of Clue will recognize the familiar structure, but will love the lightness and portability that Travel Clue brings.
