Trick Gear: Persona 5 The Royal brings the rush of a card game with the action of a battle‑royale fight. Each game starts with players picking a hero from a set of 17 Persona 5 character cards. After shuffling a standard 54‑card deck, each player receives an opening hand that reflects the hero’s power and life values. The goal is to play cards of different suits and ranks to trigger each hero’s unique abilities—boosting attack power, dealing instant damage, or drawing extra cards. The “Chaining” mechanic lets players combine cards in sequences for power bonuses, while “Open Drafting” has each player selecting from a common pool, creating tension and strategy from the start. When all players pass, the one with the highest power wins the round and deals damage to the others. Players who lose all life of their heroes must swap to a reserve hero, and when all opponents’ heroes hit zero, you win the game. It’s a short, 20‑to‑40‑minute game that works well for 2 to 4 players. Rules are simple, but mastering card combos and hero choices takes time, especially since the standard deck isn’t included and must be bought separately. Fans of Persona, card gamers, and anyone who loves fast, tactical battles will find Trick Gear: Persona 5 The Royal a unique blend of familiar characters and unpredictable card play.
