About the game
Hey there, cryptid hunters! Get ready for an intergalactic twist in Twisted Cryptids with the Alien Invasion Mini-Expansion. If you thought only Earth's monsters were a problem, think again! This expansion introduces a new threat from outer space, allowing you to explore semi-cooperative or even solo game modes. It's the perfect chance to see how your cryptids fare against technology they can't even imagine!

The pack includes a tarot-sized UFO Control Panel, an Alien Activity Deck with 7 cards, and a super stylish UFO meeple. Each round, this unidentified flying object will cruise around The Wilderness, abducting humans before they even get close to a cryptid. The UFO meeple indicates its current location, and that's where it can snatch up the poor souls.

The UFO Control Panel is where all abducted humans are stored. It's divided into four compartments, or 'pods,' and each can hold up to five humans. Three of these pods are specific to a certain 'flavor' of human (meaning they can only hold humans of that type), while the fourth pod is more democratic and accepts anyone. Oh, an important detail: if you're playing solo or with only two players, the fourth pod remains inactive; it must stay empty. The Alien Activity cards are the UFO's engine, moving it across the map and performing abductions. If an Alien Activity card abducts a human, they go straight into a corresponding pod on the UFO Control Panel. Some activities also refer to the UFO's 'Energy,' which is calculated by adding the number of players to the number of already filled pods. It's an extra challenge for those looking for something different in the Twisted Cryptids universe!
