About the game

What you do in a play session

Unfair: Alien B‑movie Dinosaur Western Expansion adds a futuristic western and sci‑fi horror twist to the base game, where you already own a theme park that must grow at all costs. The expansion introduces four new themes – Alien, B‑movie, Dinosaur, and Western – that can be mixed with each other and with the original themes, creating absurd and lucrative attraction combos. The goal remains the same: draw visitors, earn money, and build the biggest, most impressive collection of attractions possible. Now you have more action cards, new resources, and even a new alien-only currency. The Open Drafting mechanic becomes even more interesting because each theme’s cards are distinct; you’ll decide whether to build a dinosaur‑terror park or a low‑budget movie theater with 1950s special effects. The Market system lets you trade resources with other players, but beware: prices shift with demand, so timing can make the difference between winning and losing. Hand Management stays crucial, as each theme’s cards have effects that only work if played at the right moment. The expansion also adds Take That cards that let you attack another player’s park, stealing visitors or interrupting construction. If you enjoy direct competition and having to adapt your strategy each game – thanks to Variable Set‑Up – you’ll have a blast. In short, if you already love the base of Unfair, this expansion will raise the fun and complexity level, offering new ways to dominate the city and make rivals regret crossing your path.

7 questions
How long does the expansion add to gameplay?
It adds roughly 20 to 30 extra minutes, depending on how many themes you mix and the number of players.
Can the expansion be played with any number of players?
Yes, it works with 2 to 5 players like the base game, but competition ramps up with more players.
Do I need to buy the expansion if I already own the base game?
Yes, the expansion only works with the base game, as it adds cards and mechanics that rely on the original system.
Does the expansion increase game complexity?
A bit. There are more cards and resources to manage, but the Open Drafting mechanic helps keep the learning curve balanced.
What new components does the expansion bring?
New theme cards, an alien‑only currency, attack cards, and extra resources for the Market.
Is the expansion suitable for beginners?
For those who already know Unfair, it’s fun; for absolute beginners, it might be a bit heavier due to the variety of themes.

No, but the extra theme cards may take up more table space, so adjust the layout if needed.
