About the game
What you do in a play session
Use Up All Your Sick Days is a real‑time card game that puts you in the shoes of an employee deciding to call in sick. The game runs without predefined turns: simply play a card that matches the next day or the same worker on top of the discard pile. If you try to play at the same time as another player, both lose the card and draw two new ones as a penalty—hence the game’s name, a kind of “sick‑day conflict.” You can also play face‑down cards as doctor’s notes, acting as wildcards. The goal is to exhaust your tired worker tokens: the first player to eliminate half of their tokens wins. The solo or cooperative version adds layers of strategy. In cooperative mode, players take on the role of HR, scheduling workers, but communication is limited; pizza tokens serve as markers to indicate where you plan to play later. The solo mode has two difficulties: the cozy mode, with no automation, and the challenging mode, with a more complex automation system. The set includes a themed card deck, tired worker tokens, pizza tokens, and a rulebook that explains the real‑time flow. With only 10 to 20 minutes of play, 1 to 6 players, and a 1/5 weight, the game is light, fun, and perfect for quick sessions with family or friends looking for something different and relaxed.
