About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready for an adrenaline rush with Vengeance: Roll & Fight – Episode 1! If you dig the idea of frantic action and 'kick-arse' combat, this game is for you. It takes the essence of the original Vengeance and transforms it into a real-time roll-and-write that's pure strategic brawling. The goal is simple: infiltrate the gang's den, eliminate enemies in your path, and defeat the boss, all while completing side objectives printed on the den map itself. Gameplay is divided into three phases: planning, fighting, and the final 'montage'. In the planning phase, things heat up: you roll and re-roll 4 dice in real-time, trying to form the right combinations to activate your abilities in the next stage. Each ability used replenishes your dice up to four, and you repeat the process as fast as you can. When the dice run out, the real fight begins! You then use the dice you've set aside to execute abilities, advancing through the den, crossing off defeated enemies, and feeling the tension build. Finally, there's the 'montage' phase, where you catch your breath, upgrade your character, and acquire new abilities and items for the next round of vengeance. This game is the first of two standalone episodes, but they can be combined to increase the player count. Each episode features its own heroes, dens, bosses, and abilities, ensuring the fun never ends. It's easy to learn, but mastering the strategies will give you a headache (in a good way!).
