If you think wargames are always six-hour monsters, W1815 is here to prove you wrong! This is a lightning-fast tactical combat game that drops you straight into the heart of the historic Battle of Waterloo. The goal is simple and intense: in just 15 to 20 minutes, you'll decide the fate of empires. This is a pure duel of survival and strategy. On one side, the French player aims to crush the Anglo-Allied forces before the Prussians arrive to save the day—it's a literal race against time! On the other side, the Anglo-Allied player must play defensively, using reserves with surgical precision to keep the line intact until Prussian reinforcements appear on the horizon. The battlefield map serves as a combat log, where you track casualties and troop strength as the fight unfolds. Instead of a massive rulebook, you use cards representing each Corps; each card acts as an action guide for that specific unit. Just activate a corps, follow the instructions, and watch the chaos unfold on the map. The battle ends when one side breaks in a rout or when night falls over the battlefield. It's the perfect pick for those craving history and military tension without needing an entire weekend dedicated to the table.
