About the game

What you do in a play session

Walk the Plank: Deluxe Edition casts you and your friends as the worst pirates ever to set sail. The captain, fed up with the crew's laziness and incompetence, decides only two of you can stay aboard – so the goal is simple: shove the other players' pirates off the plank while keeping yours afloat. Each round starts with players secretly stacking three action cards from a hand of ten. When the round begins, the cards are revealed and executed in the pre‑set order, no matter how the situation changed. If you planned to push someone on your third move, you’ll still do it even if the target is already gone. Some cards bear a skull and must remain on the table for an extra turn, adding a delayed‑strategy twist. The game ends as soon as two or fewer pirates remain; whoever controls those survivors wins. There’s also a chance that every pirate ends up in the water, leaving the Kraken as the sole victor.

The deluxe box includes revised rules, new artwork by Felideus Bubastis, screen‑printed wooden meeples, and the Ghost Meeple mini‑expansion, which adds a spectral pirate with its own powers. With minimal text and 20‑minute playtime, the game is quick to learn, yet the mix of action queue, simultaneous selection, and take‑that cards creates plenty of tension and laughs. Perfect for 3‑5 players who enjoy fast, competitive, humor‑filled pirate brawls.
