About the game

What you do in a play session

Warfighter: The WWII Pacific Combat Card Game is a cooperative game where you command a squad of US Marines in tactical missions against Japanese forces during WWII. Each mission is a standalone game (30-60 mins) where you assemble your team, pick weapons/gear, and push through hostile territory. The combat system is granular: every attack factors in fire mode, range, ammo, and cover—all resolved in a single dice roll! Gain XP by eliminating enemies to upgrade action cards and skills. Three soldier types are included: 'Player Soldiers' (customizable heroes), 'Non-Player Soldiers' (simplified allies), and 'Squad Soldiers' (easy-to-command background troops). Ideal for wargame fans who crave narrative depth and tactical choices without miniature complexity. Comes with 280 cards, 430 counters, and 9 Pacific-themed missions.

How long does a game take?
30-60 minutes per mission, depending on player count and difficulty.
Do I need expansions?
No. The core game includes 9 missions, but expansions add more nations and scenarios.
Is it beginner-friendly?
There’s a learning curve, but 'Squad Soldiers' help new players. Best for those with prior wargame experience.
