Grab your helmet, because the sheep you know are gone! In Wikingerschafe, you aren't just tending a flock; you're leading a troop of Viking sheep in search of glory and respect. Forget that image of sheep grazing peacefully; here, the goal is to become the new Jarl of the legendary herd. To achieve this, you'll need much more than just wool; you'll need strategy, courage, and, of course, a bit of luck with the dice.
The game pits 2 to 4 players against each other in an intense competition to see who can perform the most heroic deeds and tell the best stories around the campfire. If you want to win the flock's loyalty, you'll have to fight for influence and dominate territory, ensuring your lineage of warrior sheep is the most respected. The mechanics are a delicious mix of worker placement (using the dice themselves as pieces!) and that 'push your luck' adrenaline rush, where you decide whether to risk one more die or stop before losing everything.
With a quick playtime of 20 to 45 minutes, Wikingerschafe is perfect for a quick break between games or a more dynamic game night. It's a light-weight game, meaning the learning curve is super smooth, but don't be fooled: the battle for the Jarl throne can be fierce. You'll manage your dice, attempt to control key areas, and ensure your tale is the most epic of all. Do you have the spirit of a Norse warrior, or will you just keep grazing while others claim the glory?
