Goal of the Game
In World Wonders: Mundo Wonders Pack, players take on the role of civilization builders attempting to erect iconic monuments. The goal is to accumulate the highest number of Victory Points throughout the game by fulfilling specific placement and resource development requirements for the WORLD Mode monuments.
Setup
Setup depends on how you wish to play:
- Standard Game: Mix the 9 Monument Cards from this expansion with the rest of the base game cards into a single deck and follow the standard base game setup.
- WORLD Mode:
- Create two Monument Card decks: one with the base game cards and another containing the 9 WORLD Cards from this expansion.
- Reveal the first 2 cards from each deck. >
- Place the respective Wooden Monuments above their corresponding cards.
- Whenever possible, there will be 2 revealed cards from each deck. If a deck runs out, reveal 1 more Monument Card from the remaining deck to keep 3 Monument Cards visible on the table.

Actions and How to Play
The WORLD Cards have a specific structure that defines how a player must interact with them to obtain benefits. Each card is divided into three fundamental parts:
- Terrain space and type: Defines which terrain the Wooden Monument must be placed on.
- Adjacencies: Defines which pieces or terrain types must be around the monument to fulfill the requirements.
- Victory Points: Indicates how many points the player will receive upon fulfilling the requirements by the end of the game.
When placing a Monument in your city, the player automatically gains at least 1 Victory Point. The total bonus can reach up to 3 Victory Points, depending on fulfilling the requirements indicated on the card.
End of Game and Scoring
The game ends when the end-of-game criteria (defined in the base game) are met. Scoring for WORLD Mode monuments is calculated as follows:
- Sphinx: Earns points if it has one more Monument adjacent to it.
- Stonehenge: Depends on Population (according to the Resource Board):
- Resource Board Side A: 10 population (2 points); 12 population (3 points).
- Resource Board Side B: 12 population (2 points); 14 population (3 points).
- Olmec Colossal Heads: Earns points by placing several Buildings between the heads (it is possible to choose a distance of 2 to 6 spaces when placing).
- Hanging Gardens of Babylon: Earns points if the piece is completely surrounded on all sides by other pieces, just like a Block.
- Gate of All Nations: Earns points if it has a continuous Road passing through the piece.
- Colossus of Rhodes: Earns points by placing many Buildings adjacent to Water (it is mandatory to have a Water space under the center of the piece).
- Terracotta Army: Earns points by filling all spaces between the army units with any pieces.
- Arch of Ctesiphon: Earns points if the piece is placed completely isolated (not touching anything, including Natural Resources, Water, Pavement, or map edges) and kept that way until the end of the game.
- Himeji Castle: Earns points by leaving many Natural Resources adjacent to any part of your city.
