About the game

What you do in a play session

Xeno is a fast‑paced bluffing and deduction game, heavily inspired by Love Letter, that fits neatly into a 3‑to‑10‑minute play session. Each player starts with a single card in hand. On your turn you draw a card from the deck and then play one of the two cards you hold, revealing its effect. Cards let you tweak your own hand, meddle with opponents' hands, or attempt to eliminate another player. Elimination occurs when a specific card is played against someone, removing them from the round. The goal is straightforward: be the last player standing, or if the deck runs out, hold the highest‑valued card in hand. Because everyone only ever has one card, the game is a constant swirl of guesses, bluffs, and risky choices. The theme features Xenophilius Lovegood, Luna’s dad and editor of "The Quibbler," but the mechanics don’t require deep Harry Potter lore, though fans will enjoy the nods. The game is lightweight, quick to learn, and needs only a small deck, making it perfect for trips, casual get‑togethers, or anyone who loves short, tension‑filled rounds.
