Ever had that moment where the zombie horde seems unstoppable and you just need a miracle? That's exactly where the Celestial Knights come in! This content, originally a Kickstarter exclusive, brings heavy-hitting reinforcements to your Zombicide fantasy campaigns. We're not talking about ordinary survivors, but warriors imbued with stellar power capable of completely flipping the script.
The star of the show is the 'Celestial Attack'. Each of the new survivors has their own devastating ability that can be triggered by spending just a single action. It's the kind of strike that clears the board and saves the group at the most critical moment. However, as with any great power, there's a catch: once the attack is used, the celestial energy is depleted. To recharge, the knight needs a moment of meditation, spending 3 actions to call upon the stars once more.
But if you're desperate and can't afford to wait, there's the 'sacrifice' option. You can recharge the attack by spending fewer actions, but in exchange, you must take wounds. It's the classic trade-off of health for power: you bleed now so you can annihilate the undead immediately after. This dynamic adds an interesting strategic layer, forcing the group to decide if risking the knight's health is worth securing the victory.
The kit is quite comprehensive for collectors, featuring 5 survivor miniatures, 1 special guard, their respective character and reference cards, and a detailed rules leaflet. If you already enjoy the fantasy vibe of Zombicide and want characters with more 'punch' and risk-reward mechanics, the Celestial Knights are the perfect choice to turn your table into a truly epic battlefield.
