But don't think it's going to be a smooth walk! 1572: The Lost Expedition is an ultra-portable and minimalist game, where your main board is a sheet of paper and your fate is traced with a pen and dice. You have a limit of 42 turns to perform tasks like mapping the terrain, exploring new areas, and hunting to avoid starvation. The real spice here is the 'push your luck' mechanic: you'll have to decide how much to risk with the dice in each phase to get what you need without losing your few men. If you enjoy a bit of RPG flavor, you can even use the journaling phase to narrate the epic (or tragic) journey of your conquistadors.
