18Lilliput pits players for who builds the most profitable railroad network in just eight rounds. Each player starts with a company and a character that grants a special ability—a kind of railroad superpower. At the start of each turn, a pool of action cards is available, and each player selects two to use for their company. You can lay track, upgrade track, buy locomotives, buy or sell shares, or simply move money into your personal stash or the company’s treasury. After the action phase, each company runs its trains, generating revenue that can be retained for further investments or paid out as dividends. The choice to hold or pay out affects the share price – invest to grow, pay to distribute, and watch the price swing accordingly. At the end, you add cash on hand to the value of shares you own, and whoever has the highest total wins. The game blends classic 18xx mechanics—network building, shareholding, tram movement—with a fast card‑based format, making it accessible and quick. If you enjoy financial strategy, route building, and want a lighter take on the traditional 18xx experience, 18Lilliput is a solid pick. The key challenge is timing investments versus payouts, as each decision shifts share values and can swing the game in your favor or against you.
