In "A Seita" (The Cult), you take on the role of an ambitious cult leader, immersed in a Lovecraftian horror setting with a touch of dark humor. Your goal? To dispute control of a conflicting cult and, ultimately, summon a terrible ancient god to become the new Grand Master. The journey to the apocalypse is paved with strategy and plenty of sabotage!
To achieve your lunatic purposes, you and your acolytes must explore the underground of the mysterious city of Arkham, seeking sacred Altars. But don't think it will be easy: your rivals are also in this insane race. Use magical Tomes to disrupt your competitors' plans, ensuring your cult is the most devoted in the grand ritual before time runs out.
Featuring worker placement mechanics, hexagonal grid movement, and a modular board that guarantees a different experience every game, "A Seita" challenges you to plan your moves shrewdly. Every cultist you manage to bring to an altar will be sacrificed in the summoning ritual, granting devotion points. And the Great Old One, in its infinite wisdom (or madness), rewards everyone with special powers, making every decision crucial for your glory.
The game culminates when a player reaches 12 devotion points, unleashing the apocalypse and initiating the final count. Whoever has the most devotion at the end of the game will be crowned the new Grand Master, ushering in a new era of chaos and dominating the world. Prepare your rituals, for the competition will be fierce!

How long does a game of A Seita last?
A game of A Seita usually takes about 80 minutes. It's a good amount of time for a game session with strategy and twists, without dragging on too long.
Is A Seita a complex game for beginners?
The weight of A Seita is considered light-medium (2/5 on BGG). It has some mechanics that require planning, but nothing that a beginner player with some experience can't pick up after a few rounds. The theme helps to engage!
Do I need expansions to enjoy the game?
No, A Seita is a complete game on its own and offers a robust and fun experience right out of the box. Expansions can add more content, but they are not necessary for initial enjoyment.

A Seita comes with a modular board made of hexagonal tiles, various cultist and leader pawns, magical Tome cards, devotion markers, and other thematic elements that help immerse you in the Lovecraftian universe.
Does A Seita have a lot of player interaction?
Yes, and that's one of its big draws! The 'Take That' mechanic allows you to directly sabotage your opponents with Tome cards, creating a competitive environment full of twists and turns. Get ready to laugh (or cry) at other players' moves!
