About the game

What you do in a play session

In A Thief's Fortune, we are transported to Nabbarah, a dazzling city in the heart of the desert, where you take on the role of a cunning thief in search of the next big score. Your adventure begins with a break-in at the Royal Palace, hoping to find legendary treasures. But instead of gold and jewels, you stumble upon a mysterious hourglass that, upon touch, reveals an extraordinary power: the ability to glimpse your own future! Now, with the palace guards on your trail, you must use this newfound ability to navigate different paths and shape your destiny. Each player represents a possible timeline for the same character, exploring locations, interacting with local figures, and ensuring that certain events you've 'seen' in the future actually happen. The goal is to escape danger and secure the best possible fortune. The game unfolds over five rounds, where players use the open drafting mechanic to acquire location, event, and character cards. These cards are added to your 'future' area and come with resources. As you extract these resources, the cards move to your 'present' area, where their abilities can be activated to accumulate fortune points, essential for victory. Can you manipulate time to your advantage and escape unscathed with an enviable fortune?
